A student ally stands in solidarity with a bright, resilient student who is striving to flourish despite past and present educational inequities.
Meet Albert
Albert was sponsored by an ally as a middle school student in Kaombe, Zambia to attend school and an EEA community program. There he found acceptance and mentoring from the director. After completing high school and a college degree in mathematics and physical education, Albert is now the director of education and athletics in the same Kaombe program!

Frequently Asked Questions
Am I the only Ally matched with a student?
As a Student Ally you are matched with one specific student. No one else is matched with the same student. We provide a picture and biography of international students. For stateside students, we honor the student and their family’s anonymity and you receive personal updates [without a name] and classroom pictures.
Does my money go directly to a student?
Students do not receive direct cash benefits. To ensure your monthly donation has the greatest impact, your donation goes directly to the program or partnering school the student attends.
How long is my commitment?
Becoming a student ally is an ongoing commitment that ensures a student has access to academic, social and spiritual empowerment through their primary (elementary) and secondary (middle and high-school) education, and provides additional resources to a student if they pursue post-secondary education. Your ongoing donation allows you to witness the progress firsthand, as long as you are able.
