Proximity and Belonging

This workshop helps participants explore how our neighborhoods, workspaces, and schools leave many of us disconnected and lacking in deep connections with people different from ourselves. Participants consider the negative impacts of cultural and racial isolation and reflect on the richness of creating spaces of inclusion and belonging where diverse groups of people can thrive together.

Conscious and Unconscious Bias

This workshop explores how biases are formed, the impact of our biases, and how we can reduce harmful biases to create more safe and inclusive spaces for diverse groups of people. The session will engage participants in self-reflection and group activities to deepen connection, trust, and belonging.

Cultural Competency and Humility

This workshop aims to deepen participants' understanding of culture, cultural competency and cultural humility. Participants engage in self-reflection and group activities to foster a more inclusive and culturally aware mindset.

This workshop helps participants to deepen their understanding of affinity bias, its impact, and strategies for mitigating negative impacts. Participants explore how affinity bias can influence individual interactions and impact systemic outcomes for learners based on their social identities.
